You give me absolutely nothing but hand waving, so I can't really take what you say seriously. What is "gimmicky" to you- 240v outlets in the bed? Adjustable ride height? the first steer-by-wire vehicle? 48V wiring? rear wheel steering? The ability for it to autonomously drive better than 70% of all drivers on the road? Being able to run your house on it for days in emergency situations?

If you were looking for a cheap car, why look at the model S? The 3 and Y were designed for that. It seems that you're not part of the world that's been moving on, the only updates you care about are ones that bring no real news.
