The Spotify or Rdio playlist you're probably listening to as you work is the result of untold legions of people following their dreams, and in many cases without much money to show for it. If every aspiring artist or musician took the kind of attitude so often espoused here to heart, and followed pragmatism over passion, we would live in a pretty bleak world.
