Well I use X11, because Wayland is just not there yet, at least for my particular hardware, but it is true that more and more distros come with Wayland as the default. Linux can't become more widely used, if the answer for anyone installing a wide array of distros is, if your pc has a GPU that 90% of pcs have you should immediately change this default setting. It is fine to be a power user and mess with your system, but the default configuration should have the expectation of working well on as wide array of hardware as possible.
