The seven logical fallacies from the posted BBC article are, alphabetically: Ad hominem, Appeal to authority, Appeal to ignorance, False dichotomy, Slippery slope, Strawman, Whataboutism (or Whataboutery)
Maybe it's just me, but I keep seeing more references to specific logical fallacies, and many reference lists are big but incomplete. So, at [0], I recently started making a "complete" list of logical fallacies and cognitive biases for quick-reference purposes.
Thanks to the OP's BBC article, the following additions were made to [0]:
- Strawman added as AKA of Straw man
- Whataboutery added as AKA of Whataboutism
(If you have more fallacy or bias suggestions for [0], there is a feedback form at the bottom; it's a WIP still and only ~50% complete, but early feedback is more than welcome.)
