I’m not in that space but it sounds familiar. In my experience there are a few phases in fixing a problem:

- Noticing the problem

- Finding something better

- Finding a way to migrate between the problem and the fix

The hardest is the last bullet. It is easy to say “things would be better if X” it’s much harder to build a roadmap and buy-in on how to get to X.
