I'm a prof at a private college, no state funding. When I ask our president he says, "80% of costs are personnel and the driver there is health care." Certainly I don't make what it says on the chart and have not had a raise since 2008; in fact, my overall compensation has fallen.

(I don't know about doctors but I can absolutely testify that the satisfaction in being a professor has plummeted, particularly since 2008. I have a son who graduated a couple of years ago and considered graduate school, which I did my best to warn him about.)
